AUGHTON POLICE POINT VOLUNTEER VACANCIES

We are looking for volunteers aged 18+ to assist police front line services.

The Aughton Police Community and Policing Information Hub is situated on Town Green Rail Station, Middlewood Road, Aughton, near Ormskirk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in a community volunteering role with Lancashire Constabulary.

As a volunteer you may be involved in the following tasks: • Dealing with enquiries from members of the public. • Obtaining and collating information in relation to community-based problems. • Providing administrative support to the Community Beat Manager (CBM)

We are looking for people who have:

• Good communication skills.

• Good organisational skills.

• Experience of working with ICT and other administrative systems.

• A good attention to detail.

Commitment:

The Information Hub is open to the public between 9.00am and 7.00pm, Saturday 9am to 12pm. Volunteers would need to be able to commit to a 2 hourly slot for a minimum of once a week. Days and times will be arranged around theindividual's availability. This position requires police vetting – there is no cost to the volunteer.
